Skincare Haul

It’s been a while since I did a skincare haul (or is this the first time?). I’ve been slacking with my blogging, and I’m terrible at remembering to take photos. I get too excited to rip into my orders and play with what I purchased. But I remembered this time! And what a large haul it was.

I ordered everything from a local online store, Mikaela Beauty, and was impressed yet again. This is my second time ordering from them, and they never disappoint. I always receive my package two to three days after ordering, and everything is always packaged perfectly with a ton of samples given. I’m already waiting to do another order with them when my wallet isn’t so upset with me.

Everything is new to me except for the Banana Sleeping Pack and a hyaluronic acid sheet mask.

If you’re looking for a portable, travel-friendly, extreme glitter/shimmery eyeshadow that is user-friendly, look no further! They’re buttery and smooth but they don’t smear and there is no fallout! I highly recommend you try these out.

 

Mask of the Week: Feferafe Ice Cream Mask

If I could eat a sheet mask, I would eat this one. I mean, look at the packaging. This mask wins gold medals in that regard. This mask is photogenic, gimmicky, beautiful…I could go on and on. 

Did I fall for the packaging? Yes. Did I fall for the gimmick? Yes. Did I buy a box of these masks? Yes. Do I regret it? Read on to find out!

KAJA Cushy Vibe High-Pigment Lip Stain Swatches and Review

My enduring love for KAJA continues! These lip stains were the gateway products into KAJA for me. I bought them a few months after they were released, tried them out and reach for them quite often.

If you are looking for a matte, buildable and incredibly long-lasting lip stain, you have to try these out. They’re so pigmented and long-lasting that I don’t use them when I have to work that evening or the next morning because the stain remains. It will pull a Rick Astley on you and never desert you. Cheesy but I had to say it.

The shade range is pretty solid, the colours go from nudes to bolds so you can definitely find a shade that suits you and your needs. That being said, I do wish KAJA would increase their shades; I would love to see darker reds, blood reds, pinks and oranges. Please, KAJA, can you do this for me? Please? Love, your enduring fan.

Missha Wish Stone Water Gel Tint in Simkung and and Ingi Swatches

These are super long lasting and comfortable and hydrating. Definitely recommend them!

A’PIEU Sweet Peach Sheet Mask Review

 

I love peaches. The fruit and the scent. The Too Faced Sweet Peach line? Adore. If you’re curious, their eyeshadow palettes and cooling primer is the bomb. Their cooling primer is the best to smoothe out the pores on the nose while still being hydrating enough that your foundation won’t look patchy. Plus, it smells like fresh juicy peaches.

So when I saw this Sweet Peach sheet mask on eBay, I bought it immediately, without even knowing what the benefits or the ingredients were. Just an instant purchase with zero regrets. I really do have a shopping addiction, don’t I?

KAJA Heart Melter Lip Gloss Stick Hunny Bun Review

 

Can we all just admit at this point that I love KAJA as a brand and their products? The thing is, every product I’ve tried from them is good. Beyond a mere ‘good’. Yes, I admit, I love the brand’s aesthetics and packaging (my gosh, the packaging!) but the product itself is deserving of their ratings.

 

So what is a Heart Melter Lip Gloss Stick? A super long product name (I guess we all fall susceptible to long-winded titles and names, right?) for a lip balm/gloss. I don’t consider it a lip gloss, probably because I think of lip glosses as…well, gloopy. I want to call this a lip balm but what’s the difference? If I go ham and call everything a lip balm, where will the madness end? I don’t know but I do know I am not going to open up that debate.

Kaja makes cute products, let’s just get that out of the way, even before I start the review. That way, the review won’t be filled with, “so cute”, “the aesthetics”. Cool? Okay, cool.

Kaja Mochi Glow Bouncy Highlighter Toy Alien Review

 

Prepare for an influx of KAJA product reviews. Remember my KAJA stash? It’s taken me a while to actually sit down and write these reviews, despite using most, if not all, of these products already (more than once). Toy Alien I’ve used almost every day. It’s just that good.

I saw some reviews from people (on Sephora) saying this highlighter isn’t “blinding” and I don’t want to be rude but this isn’t that type of highlighter. I’m so over with the blinding highlighter and Neapolitan ice cream look of unblended highlighter, blush and bronzer (basically the Instagram fads). Give me a natural, radiant, unassuming, subtle and glowing, glassy face.

I like highlighters that aren’t intensely pigmented but with a quick swipe, will give you a glow you can either sheer down or build up. BECCA makes fantastic highlighters though I only use Opal (when I’m not using this highlighter) because it’ll give me a healthy glow without me looking like a glazed doughnut.

KAJA Mood Balm Color Changing Lip Moisturizers Review

 

If I had it my way, I’d buy every single product from KAJA. From the products I have tried from the brand, I’ve loved them. Every. Single. One.

I bought these four balms when Sephora had their VIB Rouge 20% off sale and I’m so glad I did. They are so hydrating and the colours are so flattering too. At this point, KAJA has become one of my favourite brands, equal to Milk Makeup on my most loved brands’ tier.

Because I want to be as confusing as possible, the colours above are 03, 02, 01, 04. 

 

For ease of reading, I’ll be referring to the four lip balms by their numbers and not their names. Here are their names with corresponding numbers:

• 01 Twilight: Baby Blue to Baby Pink
• 02 First Thing: Orange to Peach
• 03 Late Night: Fuschia to Pink
• 04 Blackout: Black to Plum
