Makeup LOTD, June 1st

I’m learning to take selfies and post them without shame. It’s hard, it’s always hard for me to take a photo of myself, or stand before a camera and not want to rip myself apart. It’s still nerve-wracking to post photos of myself here, on Instagram, to send them to friends or to even look at them.

It’s a daily exercise in self-care and self-love but I’m trying and that’s good enough right now. Especially coming from me, who for years, couldn’t bear to even look at myself in the mirror. This is a huge step for me. So in celebration of this momentous and tiny step, here’s a makeup look I did recently that I loved.

birthday makeup lotd

Here is my birthday makeup! If you saw my previous post, this is the finished look! Overall, I’m very happy with how my makeup looked though I could’ve used more setting powder, and the sunscreen pilled and seemed to exacerbate my t-zone into producing more sebum than usual.
